Tips for Building a MLM Downline by David Joy

One way I built a very large downline was from a single advertisement, I think at the time the wording was just hitting the spot. It was not mine, but my upline gave it to me. Well the phone rang every day all day long for weeks. My wife lost her voice. I was working full time in a job and I would phone home during the day and the phone was always engaged. I was so excited.

Anyway we had lots of leads or prospects should I say and at the weekend I would set off to see the prospects. Hard to believe, but true, every person I saw over the next weeks, except one signed up. I ended up with just over 150 people on my first level. Two people started to work the business and they started to grow using the same advertisement.

The company folded in the end, due to a limited product range. However two years later I tried the advertisement again for another company and it drew very little attention, who knows why it was so effective the first time.

Another way I have used is by going door-to-door to find prospects. Now this seems to work well with catalogue type MLM's, but not with other types.

I have also left business cards on car windscreens,and handed them out in shopping centres and streets. You do get about ten calls a 100 cards. Of course it is important to be able to handle the call correctly as explaining MLM on the telephone is not the best idea in the World. You need to meet face to face or have a web site to view at least.

I tend to leave my warm market now as I have been there to many times! It can lose you friends.
