Sources of Residual Income

by Chuck
(MD)

Are you looking for sources of residual income? If so, I can give you a few pointers. I’ve always been interested in building residual income streams, ever since I first learned about the concept in 2002. There are several effective ways to build residual income. Listed below, I will share some of my favorite ideas:

Pensions: If you have to have a job, or want a job, I recommend working for a company that offers a pension plan. This is getting harder to find in today’s world. You could also work for the government.

Network Marketing: There are more skeptics than believers when it comes to the network marketing industry. Although many people fail, you can’t deny that some people earn large six and seven figure residual incomes.

Web Business: Owning a website or web business can be a good income stream. In fact, this is one of my favorite sources of residual income. You can own a blog, website or invest in one, and earn monthly checks.

Real Estate: Real estate is one of the best investments you can make. Sure it can be expensive and risky, but if you know what you are doing, you can build a fortune. Most of the richest people in the world have a majority of their money in real estate.

Investments: Investments can provide residual income; assuming the stock market doesn’t crash. You can also invest in safer, government bonds.

Obviously, all of these things have some level of risk.

If you are trying to sort through the different sources of residual income to find something that works for you, I can offer a few suggestions.

1) Pick Something You Understand: This is probably the best advice I can give you. If it’s overly complicated and you don’t understand it, move on to something else.

2) Diversify Your Income Streams: You should never have all your eggs in one basket. This includes your residual income streams too.

3) Think Long Term: We are a “short-term thinking” society. People expect instant results. I’ve found that anything worth accomplishing takes time to do it. You have to think long-term.

In conclusion, there are many sources of residual income. In my opinion, residual income is the best type of income, because it comes in month after month, whether you work or not. In essence, you can get paid forever or something you did one time!

However, all investments and businesses require some type of risk. Make sure you do your due diligence and research different sources of residual income, before you invest your time and money. Don’t forget to consult with your accountant and financial advisor too!
