Social Network Marketing Failures

What are social network marketing failures? I define them as people who “quit” social network marketing techniques before they get the results they desire. Most novice network marketers immediately start promoting their business opportunity on Facebook, MySpace or Twitter.
In hopes of achieving huge results, they post comments (or their business opportunity link) on all of their friends’ walls. And they expect that people will see their link, click on it, and immediately join their business opportunity. Unfortunately, it never works that way. Nothing is that simple.
After a week or two of getting horrible results, most network marketers give up and abandon social network marketing all together. They claim that it doesn’t work; or something of that nature.
I’m here to tell you that social network marketing does work. You just have to know what you are doing. And if you don’t want to be one of the thousands of social network marketing failures, you need to take a different approach than most people.
Rather than simply pitching your business opportunity to everyone, you could do several things. First and foremost, you could start a group for network marketers. You could create your own unique group, focused on a specific network marketing theme. As people join your group, you could focus on building relationships with them. Once you get to know them, you could offer your business opportunity later on.
If you are trying to share your business opportunity with friends and family, don’t spam their wall. Send them a private message instead. And offer your company products first, rather than leading with the business opportunity. You might be surprised, but most of your friends don’t want a business opportunity. But they might be interested in your company’s products, assuming the products offer a good value and are reasonably priced.
Remember, the only way to fail is to quit. Instead of quitting, why not adapt? Why not alter your approach until you figure out something that does work? If you can do that, you won’t be one of the thousands of social network marketing failures.
