Scrapbooking Direct Sales

What is scrapbooking direct sales? I would define it as the process of selling scrapbooking items and supplies through the direct sales business model. In the direct sales business model, independent consultants work with a direct sales company. They purchase the products at a wholesale price and then resell them at the suggested retail price. They can also build a sales organization of other independent consultants.

Scrapbooking Companies

The most popular scrapbooking company that I can think of is Creative Memories®. This great company sells everything you would ever need to have fun scrapbooking. While there might be some other companies around, this is the only scrapbooking direct sales business that I know of.

Direct Sales Business Model

I think scrapbooking and direct sales go well together. First of all, scrapbooking is a social event. In many cases, three to five women will get together and socialize while they scrapbook together. They will talk, drink a glass of wine and just have a good old time. Normally, they will meet a friend’s house and spend a few hours scrapbooking together.

Direct sales is often done via the in-home party, where five to ten people get together and another person shares the products and business opportunity of their direct sales company. During the event, the hostess has several of her friends over, and another person demonstrates the products, provides entertainment, and takes orders. At the end of the event, people get their products and the hostess earns free products or a cash bonus based off the total sales for the evening.

As you can see, scrapbooking and direct sales were made for each other. If you love scrapbooking, and like to sell, you should consider getting involved in scrapbooking direct sales. You should partner up with one of the leading companies and become an independent consultant. The benefit of doing this is that you can get paid to do something you love. You can supplement your job income. Or you can just earn enough to get free supplies, so you can scrapbook for free. Or if you are really motivated, you could even potentially replace your full-time job income. In either case, it’s a pretty good deal.

Best of all, it’s cheap to join (normally less than a couple hundred bucks). And there’s very little risk. You don’t have to give up your day job or hire any employees. You can build your business at your own pace. And you can earn as much, or as little, as you want.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, scrapbooking direct sales is the process of selling scrapbooking materials and supplies through the direct sales business model. Many women supplement their income by partnering up with a successful direct sales company that manufacturers scrapbooking supplies. Some do so simply to get discounted products, while others earn a part-time or full-time income with their own scrapbooking business.
