Sales Lead for Network Marketing

What is a sales lead for network marketing? In my opinion, a sales lead for network marketing can be any of the following:

• Someone interested in joining your business opportunity

• Someone who filled out a web-form or survey expressing interest in starting a home-based business

• Someone who responded to one of your advertisements

• Someone interested in purchasing your products and/or services

You can generate your own sales leads or you can purchase leads from a lead company. Although I am a little bit biased, I believe that you should create your own leads. That way, you don’t have to share your leads with other people. Simply put, your leads will be exclusive to you.

Where to Get Leads

Where can you get a sales lead for network marketing? There are many different ways to generate these types of leads. Listed below are four of my favorite ways to generate my own leads.

Newspaper Advertising: This is my favorite way to generate sales leads for my network marketing business. I believe all network marketers should start building their business locally. To do so, you can write a short ad and place it in your local newspaper. You can have people call you, visit a website, or call a toll-free number and listen to a pre-recorded message. It’s really simple and cheap. For instance, I just placed a 30-day advertisement in my local newspaper for $168. That’s about $5.50 per day.

Pay-Per-Click Ads: This is the FASTEST ways to generate leads. You can write up a short ad and place in on the popular search engines such as Google®, Bing® and Yahoo®. When people click on your ad, they will be redirected to your website. Your key to success is to have persuasive sales copy that sparks enough interest with your visitor, so they will leave you their contact information or request more information. Also, you don’t want to pay too much per click. It’s best to start low (ten to thirty cents per click) and test your results.

Social Media: Websites such as MySpace® and Facebook® are an awesome place to get leads. Facebook®, for example, has more than 500 million users. You can visit the various network marketing groups or home-based business groups and strike up conversations with people. You can also chat with your friends. Most people have at least 200 friends on Facebook®.

Post-Card Marketing: Direct Mail is one of the most effective lead generation techniques available. And it is one of the most underutilized. You should consider promoting your MLM business via direct mail. To get started, you can purchase a lead list. Your key to success is to get a “targeted list.” Once you have your list, you need to generate a short sales letter than can be placed on a postcard. Finally, you must mail the postcards. When people respond to your ads with requests for more information, you simply follow up with them, answer their questions, and help them get started.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, a sales lead for network marketing is someone who is interested in starting their own home-based business or someone looking to buy your products and/or services. You can either purchase your leads from a lead company or generate your own sales lead for network marketing. I’ve found that most of the top earners generate their own leads. I think you should do the same.
