Can you earn residual income from home? You bet. But it isn’t as easy as it sounds. It’s simple to do, but far from easy. If you search the internet, you will find thousands of different websites claiming that you can get rich quick and build a large residual income in no time at all. Although this might happen once in a while, it’s definitely not normal. All legitimate businesses and income streams take time to develop and even more time to nurture, tweak and maintain.

If you’re a little bit lost right now, that’s okay. Some people have never been taught what residual income is. I know I had never heard of the term until I was 24 years old. Most people are simply taught to get a job and work until they are 65.Let me tell you, there is a better way to earn money. The best way to earn money is to creative residual income, preferably multiple streams of residual income. I define residual income as money that comes in month after month, for something you did one time.

Some of the most common ways to earn residual income from home include:

• Network Marketing

• Affiliate Marketing

• Websites

• Patents

• Book Royalties

• Copyrights

• Insurance Agents

I’m sure there are some other ways too, but these are the most common. Please know that any of these residual income streams will work, if you are willing to learn the ropes, invest your time and money, and apply what you learn over a period of YEARS.

How I Create Residual Income

Like many people, I wanted to create residual income from home. That’s why I’ve tried just about every business opportunity and scam under the sun. I’m not really proud of that, but I’ve always learned from my mistakes. During the past nine years, I’ve made lots of mistakes. But I’ve done a few things right, along the way. I now earn residual income from:

1. My book royalties (three published books)

2. Sales from my three eBooks

3. Revenue from my websites and blogs

Although these revenue streams took time and money to develop, they have paid off. Within a couple short years I will be financially independent (before I turn 40), where I don’t HAVE to work anymore. How does that sound to you? I’m not saying this to brag. Instead, I simply want you to know that you can create residual income from home. But don’t’ expect it to happen overnight.

My Best Advice For You

If I was just starting over, I would devote my time and effort to building a large website or blog around something I am passionate about. Once you have a large and profitable website, you can branch off into other things too. For instance, you can create information products, such as eBooks, to sell on your website. Simply put, the options are endless. If that isn’t for you, you could take a stab at network marketing, write a book, write songs, or become an insurance agent.

All I know is that working in a job until I am 65 isn’t for me. I’d rather travel the beaches of the world and work from the comfort of my own home. If that sounds good to you, you should create a part-time “Plan B” from your job and start working on creating residual income from home.
