One Year Site Build It Results
The purpose of this page is to share my one year Site Build It Results for the MLM Resource Center website. This past year has been crazy. I’ve invested thousands of hours of my time to build a large and successful website. I’ve experienced every emotion possible and have invested every waking hour building something that I can be proud of. My goal from day one has always been to build the biggest and most visited Site Build It website ever created. I want to be featured in the Site Build It case studies so I can inspire other network marketers and entrepreneurs. I want to give people hope that they too can build a successful Site Build It website. In October 2010, I signed up for Site Build It for the third time. I purchased Site Build It twice before and canceled. However, I finally got my priorities straight and decided to give it my best shot. My goal was to “sell out” to the idea for one year, and give it my all. I made a decision that I wouldn’t second guess myself. I would just follow the steps and decide if “it was a good deal” after my year was done. Let me tell you, I’m glad that I did. Things turned out much better than I anticipated. Listed below you will find detailed information about my one year Site Build It results. I hope you find this information helpful. Content The whole concept of Site Build It is that if you create high quality, unique content, you will get free traffic. And with lots of traffic, you will make money! During the past year I’ve built 1,302 pages. I can’t take credit for every single page, because my sister in law wrote 91 pages, a freelance writer wrote 50 pages, and my visitors wrote 17 pages. But that means I still wrote 1,144 pages or 3.18 pages per day, every day of the year. I spent 4-10 hours on my website every day, seven days a week. Traffic During the past 12 months my website had 167,561 visitors and 96,264 unique visitors who viewed 479,641 pages. In the 12th month of my website, my monthly traffic was 24,943 visitors, 14,395 unique visitors, and 73,676 page views. My traffic is free traffic that comes from the search engines, social media sites, link exchanges, article directories and blog comments. Please know that within the next few years, I will probably have more monthly traffic than I had this entire year. And in the future, my daily stats will equal my current monthly totals. There are several SBI websites that get more traffic in a day than I get in a month. Inbound Links I’ve worked like a dog to build my links. I just checked my inbound links on Yahoo and I found 1,272 inbound links. I built my links via article directories, YouTube videos, link exchanges, blog commenting, forum participation and Yahoo Answers. I also get one-way links from visitors who enjoy my content and decide to link to it. Miscellaneous Information Here is some other miscellaneous information about my website, as of October 31, 2011: • Alexa Rank: 183,162 This puts me in the top 1/5th of 1% of all websites on the internet. • Facebook Fans: 408 and growing • Google Page Rank: 3 • Newsletter Subscribers: 581 and growing • Referrring Websites: 1,751 • Countries Visited: 132 Once again, these numbers improve every day. But these are my numbers for my one year Site Build It results. I anticipate most of these numbers will triple or quadruple by this time next year. Money My website currently makes me $700 to $800 per month with a variety of different monetization methods. I use Google AdSense®, Amazon® Affiliate programs, eBooks, affiliate programs, my MLM Company, advertising, coaching and more. My goal all along was to experiment with different monetization models to find the ones that are most profitable. In the next 2-5 years, I see this website producing a high six figure income, and eventually a seven figure income. But all businesses have to start somewhere. I never expected to get rich quick. In fact, I am quite happy with my one year Site Build It results. What Went Well What went well during my one year Site Build It results? I worked hard and followed the program. I trusted that everything Ken Evoy said would be true, and it was. Although I did work like a dog, I can slow down now and still watch my traffic grow every single month. The two biggest things I did right was write lots of content and build lots of inbound links. I also picked a niche I am extremely passionate about, so I never get bored of writing. My Mistakes with Site Build It My # 1 mistake is choosing a poor domain name. I should have chose a shorter domain name with no dashes. Next, I picked a very competitive niche. I knew that upfront. If I would have picked a less competitive niche, and done the same amount of work, I would probably have triple the traffic. Another mistake was poor keyword research. I didn't research any keywords for the first 400-500 pages. And I didn't submit my site to the search engines or build a RSS feed for the first few months. Despite my mistakes, I learned that massive action equals massive results, even if you do things a little bit wrong. No Excuses Some of you might be reading and think "I could never work this hard to build a website." You're probably thinking you are too busy to take on another project, or that you could never get the same type of one year Site Build It results that I got. Please know that I'm as busy as anyone else, and this wasn't the only thing I did all year. I also built another succesful website, rebuilt a third website, created a blog, wrote a book, ran a large eBay business, and served part-time in the military. I've found that busy people get things done! I learned a long time ago that people spend time doing what is important to them. You might need to change your priorities (such as turn off the television) but anyone can build a succesful part-time business with Site Build It if they choose to! The Years Ahead Once again, this is just my first year with Site Build It. I’ve always looked at this project as a long-term business venture. My goal is to build the largest network marketing website on the internet and the # 1 most visited Site Build It website. I anticipate this website one day having between 10,000 and 100,000 pages and having several million visitors per month. It will become the largest online MLM Community. Best of all, it will continue to provide multiple streams of income for my family. And it will lead to bigger business ventures such as consulting, speaking and book deals. In the future, I will look back and laugh at my one year Site Build It results. Final Thoughts My one year Site Build It results are not normal. While Site Build It is an exceptional program, most people simply won’t do the work it requires to succeed. But anyone who does make the decision to follow the action guide can build a profitable business in 2-5 years. If you’re looking to get rich quick, this definitely isn’t for you. But if you can think like a business person and put in the required work, you will get exceptional results.
