Please realize that thousands of other distributors are promoting the same website with horrible results. That means that when someone visits your website, they will say to themselves “I’ve seen this before” and then click the back arrow. You don't want that to happen to you. • Don’t Buy Leads: I’ve spent thousands of dollars on leads and never achieved much success. In most cases, your sponsor will recommend leads from a certain lead company because he earns a commission from your leads purchase. You need to know that up-front. Make sure you ask your sponsor if he makes money from the lead source he recommends. Now, don’t get me wrong here. A few people have exceptional salesmanship and closing skills and will achieve some success with purchased leads. But most people won’t. Remember, you want something you can duplicate with your downline. There are better ways to get MLM leads. Keep reading to learn more. • Don’t Promote Your MLM Business Opportunity: This one might hurt. But I don’t think you should focus on promoting your business opportunity initially. You will have much better success if you promote your company’s products and services instead. And you will get more customers and make more money by following this technique. In addition, you shouldn’t just have one income stream. Don’t let your business opportunity be your only income stream. Create multiple streams of income. • Create Your Own MLM Website: You need your own website. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. To succeed at network marketing on the internet, you need to create a unique blog or website. The website should have lots of valuable content geared around a specific theme. For instance, if your network marketing company sells mangosteen juice, you could create a website geared around mangosteen juice. Your goal is to create lots of valuable content that gets ranked with the search engines AND pre-sells your visitors. If your content does a good job, people will contact you to learn more about what you have to offer them. If you create a large website with 100-200 pages of content, you could easily generate 10-20 leads per day for your network marketing business. How's that for a change? Just focus on content and people will want to learn more about your products and services. • Generate Your Own Leads: To succeed with network marketing on the internet, you need to generate your own leads. For most people, purchasing leads is a big waste of time and money. The major problem with purchasing leads is that you don’t know how many times the lead has been sold to others. And you don’t know which type of advertisement they responded too. Your key to success is to generate your own leads who request more information about what you have to offer. That way, your leads are exclusive. And you won’t need to worry about anyone else contacting them either. It's the ideal situation. • Use an Auto-responder: My most important online resource is my auto-responder. My auto-responder keeps in touch with all of my leads automatically. It sends out pre-written training messages, sales messages and e-zines. It works for me 24/7, even while I sleep. • Follow Up with Leads by Telephone: Another important key to success for network marketing on the internet is to follow up with your leads by telephone. Everyone who contacts you via telephone or by email should get a response back from you via telephone. After all, our business is geared around relationships. I’ve found that email is impersonal. Nothing replaces face-to-face communication. But the second best thing is the telephone. Use it to follow-up with your leads. • Don’t Copycat Anyone Else: Being unique is important. Don’t try to copycat others online. Instead, find your own unique approach and build a website or blog that matches your personality. For instance, there are thousands of websites and blogs about multi-level marketing. But there are one hundred times less websites about network marketing products. You could even create a website about a certain aspect of network marketing. Or you could create a blog about network marketing success stories. You could interview top earners and create a blog about that. Whatever theme you choose, be unique. • Create Multiple Streams of Income: I cannot preach this one enough. Your MLM Company should not be your only income stream. You need three to five solid income streams. That way, you don’t have all your eggs in one basket. If you create your own website or blog like I recommend, you can easily find five to ten good income streams for your website.
