Top Ten Network Marketing Ideas



Are you looking for some good network marketing ideas? If so, I can give you a few tips to help you get started. In fact, here are my top ten favorite network marketing ideas. I hope you find them helpful.

1) Stop promoting your business opportunity

This might sound crazy to some of you, but oh well. If you are busy promoting your business opportunity to everyone you meet, you are doomed for failure. After all, no one really cares about your business opportunity. Rather than promoting a business opportunity, you should promote or sell “how to” network marketing information to other network marketers and then offer your business opportunity on the back end.

2) Invest your time and money learning MARKETING

Marketing is the key factor to success. You need to become a student of marketing. You need to commit your time and money to learning marketing from people outside the network marketing industry. Simply put, you need to become a marketing guru. This is the single greatest skill that will help you make more money and achieve better results in your business.

3) Create or use a marketing system

All successful businesses have marketing systems. You need to create your own marketing system or use someone else’s. A good marketing system will (1) help you generate your leads, (2) filter your leads to weed out the tire-kickers, (3) produce multiple streams of income with different affiliate products, and (4) generate distributors and customers on the back end. This is one of my favorite network marketing ideas.

4) Create multiple streams of income

If it’s one thing I learned from best-selling author Robert Allen, it’s the importance of having multiple streams of income. Your network marketing company should not be your only income source. Instead, it should be one of many income sources in your business. That way, you don’t have all your eggs in one basket. Several example income streams including starting a website or blog and selling advertising, using Google AdSense®, promoting different affiliate products, selling leads or eBooks, helping people build websites, selling marketing systems and much more.

5) Be consistent, but think long-term

If you want to achieve success in any business, you need to be consistent, but think long-term. You need to do things every single day to help grow your business. But you can’t expect instant success. All businesses take time to grow, develop and nurture. To build a real business that generates lots of income will probably take at least 3-5 years.

6) Stop being emotional

Human beings are emotional creatures. We make emotional decisions and then justify it with logic. That’s normal. But most networkers live on an emotional roller coaster with the ups and downs in their business. You have to eventually realize that everything that happens (good or bad) is just part of doing business. People will join. People will quit. Some people will build a large business. And some people will do nothing. You need to learn to control your emotions (good and bad) when something happens in your business. If you are emotional about everything that happens to you, you won’t make it long in this business.

7) Be a student of the business

I say this time and time again, but successful entrepreneurs are always a “student of their business.” They commit to life-long learning and always stay on the cutting edge with what is going on in their industry. To succeed in MLM, you need to do the same thing. You need to read books, listen to training, attend seminars and webinars, find a mentor, and subscribe to good newsletters. You must be a student of the business. This is one of the most important network marketing ideas.

8) Do things differently than everyone else in this industry

If it’s true that most people fail in this industry, then you should look at what everyone else is doing and do the complete opposite. After all, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Don’t kid yourself. If what you are currently doing doesn’t work, then you need to change!

9) Build a List

Your # 1 goal is to build a subscriber list of other network marketers. As you build a list, your goal is to provide great information so people want to stay subscribed to your list. Over time, you will build a good relationship with your list and people will look forward to receiving your messages. At this point, you can monetize your list by recommending different affiliate products.

10) Use a Self Liquidating Offer

Most networkers have never heard this term before. A self liquidating offer is an offer that helps offset or eliminates your advertising costs. Rather than advertising your business opportunity or products, you should advertise a generic “how to” eBook or training course to your target market: other network marketers. Some of your leads will purchase the course. This will help offset, eliminate or reduce your advertising costs. This means you can generate leads for free, or for a low cost. And you can offer your business opportunity on the back end.

In conclusion, these are my top ten favorite network marketing ideas. By implementing a few of these network marketing ideas in your business, you should experience dramatic results. Not only will you generate more leads, but you will also make more money. Good luck!
