Network Marketing Call Script
What is a network marketing call? And how does it work? In most cases, a network marketing call is when someone calls prospects to offer their business opportunity or products. If you’ve been in this industry for more than a month, you probably have some experience calling prospects to set appointments. On the other hand, if you are new to network marketing, it’s important to know that you must use the phone at some point. In my opinion, the telephone is the most effective way to set appointments with people, so you can share your business opportunity and grow your business. Many distributors will tell you to use a network marketing script. But I think that’s a bunch of baloney. I hate when telemarketers call me and read a script. It’s so impersonal. I’d rather have them talk naturally. But then again, that’s just my two cents on the matter. If you don’t feel comfortable without a script, then by all means use the darn thing. However, I think it’s better to practice a few times, before you make any calls, so you don’t need the network marketing script. Does that make sense? Listed below are three examples of what a network marketing call might sound like. • “Hi Johnny, this is Fred. I’m calling to find out if you are looking to earn some extra income without quitting your day job? Have you ever thought about starting a part-time, home-based business?” • “Hi Susan, this is Eric. I’m calling you because I value your opinion. I found a unique business opportunity where I can earn money without quitting my day job. I’m very excited about it, and thought you would be too, so I would like to know what you think. Would you be willing to review the business opportunity with me, and then give me your opinion?” • “Hi Tom, this is Mike. I’m calling you because I recently found some excellent nutritional products that have helped me lose weight and have more energy. Because they’ve had such a positive impact in my life, I would like to share them with my friends and family. Are you open to looking at some products that might improve your overall wellness?” These are the three most common types of approaches. All can work effectively. It’s simply important to remember that network marketing is a numbers game. Not everyone will want to buy your products or join your business opportunity. In fact, a large majority of people won’t. Please keep that in mind upfront, so you don’t get frustrated and end up quitting. Also, it’s important to not overload your prospects with information. You simply want to spark an interest and set an appointment to follow-up with them. You can give them the details in person, at your follow-up appointment. If you tell them too much information over the telephone, they will find a way to say no. Therefore, strike their curiosity and set the appointment. That’s the key to success. In conclusion, a network marketing call is a call to introduce your products or business opportunity to others. Your key to success is to find a simple invite that you feel comfortable with, so you don’t have to read a script and sound impersonal. Next, you must make a lot of calls to set a few appointments. As you work through the numbers, and make the calls, you will find plenty of people to share your products and business opportunity with. On a side note, if you have a good network marketing script that you use to make your calls, I would love to hear from you.
