My Top 10 MLM Success Tips

In this short article, I would like to share my Top 10 MLM Success Tips. These ideas are listed in no particular order. Let’s get started.

1. Meet People: Without a doubt, the first thing you need to get good at is meeting people. You need to meet 2-5 people each day, and get their contact information. If you are an introvert, you need to work on that. You need to learn how to introduce yourself to people and get good at asking questions. You must always keep your eye open for sharp people. Remember, prospects are the lifeblood of your business. Whether you meet people online or offline, you must meet new propsects every day.

2. Believe in Your Products: You must be a product of the product. If your company makes a product, you should use it. The only way to build your belief in the products is to use them yourself. After all, you wouldn’t own a Honda dealership and drive a Ford.

3. Set Realistic Expectations: This is a huge mistake for most people entering our industry. They think they will get involved and be rich in 90 days. That always makes me laugh. Most businesses take 1-2 years, just to get profitable. You must make a commitment that you will work your business minimum two years, before you decide whether or not it is a good idea. I always tell people to strive for progress, not perfection.

4. Attend Company Training Events: You should attend your company convention, and any local meetings. When possible, you should also attend other network marketing training events. You can even do this online by listening to webinars, conference calls and reading information on helpful websites. You must be a student of your business.

5. Find a Mentor: When you start out, you can work with your sponsor. As your business grows, you should look for someone who has achieved success in your company. Ideally, you want to work with someone in your upline, because they have a vested interest in helping you succeed.

6. Think Positive: Don't be negative or pessamistic. Think positive. If you think you will succeed, you will. And if you think you will fail, you will.

7. Get Organized: You should set up a designated work area at home. If possible, set up a home office. Also, you should get a day planner and calendar to manage your time. I also recommend you purchase a contact manager to track all your leads, customers and downline distributors.

8. Be Loyal: Don't be a MLM junkie. Pick one company and stick with it for at least five years. If you are struggling in your current company, don’t switch to a new company. Instead, take the time to develop your skills. Jumping from company to company is one of the most common mistakes new distributors make. Most top earners pick one company and stick with it for the long haul.

9. Treat Your Business Seriously: Pretend that you have a million dollars invested in your business. Work your business consistently. Make time each week to grow your business. Most people treat our industry like a hobby. They aren’t persistent or consistent, and then they wonder why they don’t get the results they expect.

10. Have Fun: No one wants to work with a sourpuss. Put a smile on your face. Embrace the challenges and setbacks. Nothing worth accomplishing is ever easy. Realize that you are paying the price to achieve success. People don’t want to do something that isn’t fun. Most people already have a job. So, when you talk to be people, be happy!

In conclusion, these are my Top 10 MLM Success Tips. They apply to any type of direct sales business. Your key to success is to develop a game plan, get started, keep learning and never quit. Building a profitable business is never easy. It takes time, money, effort and energy. If you get started and don’t quit, you have a great chance of achieving success in the network marketing industry.
