MLM UniversityWhat does the term MLM university mean? I define it as studying the concept of network marketing at an accredited university. I’ve found that several universities are now offering courses and certificate programs on network marketing. While I think this is a good thing that more people are getting educated about network marketing, I also think there’s a big problem. My biggest issue with the MLM university is that a certificate or formal education will not prepare you for success in network marketing. That would be like saying that earning a MBA prepares you to run a business. It doesn’t. Sure, you might gain some philosophical insights about business. And you might have some fancy letters by your name. But that’s about it. The only way to learn how to succeed at doing something is to actually go out and do it. You can study theory until the cows the come home, but it’s not until you apply that knowledge, will you succeed. In fact, I think the best education you can get is from the school of hard knocks. It’s also known as real-world experience. And it’s extremely underrated. The best way to succeed in network marketing is to study successful network marketers. That means you should read books, attend seminars and take courses offered by successful network marketers. These folks will teach you the real-world skills you need to succeed. They won’t waste your time teaching you theory.Once you learn the basics, you need to apply what you learn. You need to go out and grow your network marketing business. You need to evaluate what you are doing, make constant improvements and persevere until you become proficient at what you are doing. That is the true recipe for success. That is what most of the top earners did. Just about every top earner I know had to pay their dues and make lots of mistakes, before they made it big in network marketing. On a side note, I know of lots of educated derelicts, in just about every profession. But the best leaders are the ones who worked their way through the ranks with their own blood, sweat and tears. And most of the best leaders don’t have a bunch of fancy letters or titles by their name either. So don’t make the common mistake of thinking you need a formal education to be successful at network marketing, or anything else. In conclusion, you can study network marketing at a MLM University, or you can spend your time studying successful network marketers. My recommendation to you is to study someone who has already achieved what you are trying to do. Once you learn the basic success principles, you need to apply that knowledge. Only then will you succeed.
