MLM Sponsoring System: How to Build Your MLM Business Offline

What is a MLM Sponsoring System? Well, there are two kinds of sponsoring systems. One is for online sponsoring and one is for offline sponsoring. For the purpose of this short article, we will focus on building your business offline. But, before we do that, let me tell you what a system is. A system is standardized way of doing something. It’s similar to a written standard operating procedure. Most successful businesses are successful, because the owners use systems. If you want to be successful in network marketing, you need to use systems too.
Here is the MLM Sponsoring System I use to build my network marketing business offline. I still think that talking to people and working with friends and family is a good idea. But, you have to have a system, or process, to do this successfully. Here’s what I recommend you do.
First and foremost, you need to focus your time and energy building a prospect list. If you are just starting out, you can draft up a list of everyone you know. At a minimum, come up with 500 names. After you draft up your initial list, you will need to keep adding names to your list every day by prospecting and advertising. Never stop building your list.
As people get added to your list, you need to contact them. I recommend you start out with a phone call. If possible, draft up a phone script until you are comfortable talking on the phone with your prospects. As you talk with people, your only goal is to set an appointment with them to share your business opportunity with them.
Don’t make the common mistake of trying to tell them everything on that first call. Instead, make it your goal to set an appointment to do a three way call with them, get them to call onto a conference call, attend a webinar or meet face to face.
After people watch the webinar, or attend a conference call, try to close the sale. If they are ready to get started, sign them up. If they are hesitant, try to overcome their objections and then sponsor them. If that doesn’t work, try to get referrals from them and follow up with them again in the future.
This is where most novices stop. And I think that’s a big mistake. You need to do what the top earners do. At a minimum, I highly recommend you keep all of your leads in a contact manager program. You can use a Microsoft Access database or an Excel Spreadsheet. Or, you can spend a little money and buy a contact manager program.
If you are serious about your business, I believe you need to get a contact manager program. In your contact manager program, add your prospect’s name, address, email, birthday, how you met, when you contacted them last, etc. Keep as much information as you can on each prospect.
Even if someone tells you NO today, don’t write them off; ever! Keep in touch with them forever. In your contact manager program, set up a frequency to keep in touch with your prospects. At a minimum, I recommend you send them a monthly newsletter once each month. Also, you can send a 60, 90 and 180 day follow-up. You can use direct mail, fax broadcast, email, phone calls and a variety of other methods to keep in touch. In many cases, the timing isn’t right when you first talk with your prospect. But you never know when their situation will change.
Make sure you follow up with all leads consistently. And never stop following up! The only time you remove a lead from your program is if they ask you to. Many people who tell you NO today will join your team five years from now, if you keep in touch with them. This is the MLM Sponsoring System I use. If it works for me, it can work for you too!
