Listed below are five simple things you can do to take your MLM business to the next level.MLM Solutions # 1 - Get More Customers It simply amazes me how many network marketers don’t have any retail customers. They focus all their time on recruiting new distributors and get horrible results. If you are struggling in your network marketing business I would encourage you to take the next thirty days off from recruiting and go out and build a customer base of 10 to 30 retail customers. By doing so, you will make more money and have additional funds to re-invest in your business. I’ve found that “happy customers” often want to upgrade their membership to become wholesale buying distributors and sometimes even business builders. Remember, you get paid to generate sales volume. So go out and create some sales volume and watch your business grow. What would your bonus check look like if everyone in your downline had 10-30 retail customers each month? MLM Solutions # 2 – Time Management Sometimes life gets in the way. If you are like most people, you are busy. You’re trying to balance your job, family time, personal time, hobbies, etc. That leaves little time for your MLM business. I’ve found that the most successful network marketers are busy, just like you are. But the major difference between them and you is that they manage their time effectively. They have a day planner and they manage their time wisely by “blocking off time” to work their MLM business. You should do the same thing. If you want to build a successful network marketing business, you need to work your business at least ten hours per week, every week. Even if you are already busy, this is very manageable if you are using a day planner. Every Sunday night, you should sit down and “plan” your week. You should review your commitments and “block off time” to work your MLM business. If you do that, you will easily “find” ten hours (or more) to work your business, without affecting your family-time or career. MLM Solutions # 3 – Focus on the Right Tasks The only tasks that generate revenue in your MLM business are: retailing products, sponsoring new distributors and training your team. Therefore, you need to spend at least 90% of your available time focusing on these tasks. Sitting at your desk preparing spreadsheets, organizing paperwork, etc. does not help you grow your business. It amazes me how many distributors spend most of their time focusing on activities that aren’t all that important. And then they wonder why their business doesn’t grow. Don’t let this happen to you. Spend most of your time prospecting, selling products, following up with prospects, presenting the business opportunity or training your team. If you do these activities, your business will grow. MLM Solutions # 4 - Be Your Best Customer If you owned a Ford dealership, would you drive a Chevy? I hope not. If you did, people wouldn’t take you very seriously. The moral of the story is: you need to be your own best customer. If you don’t use the products, people will know. You must be knowledgeable and passionate about your products. The only way to do that is to use the products consistently. MLM Solutions # 5 – How to Advertise Effectively One of the most effective ways to advertise your business is to not advertise it at all. That might sound a little bit crazy, but I’ve found that very few people are interested in a network marketing business opportunity. Sure, some might be, but most aren’t. Therefore, you should advertise your products or services instead. For instance, if you sell weight loss products, advertise your products. More people are interested in losing weight than there are people interested in selling weight loss products. If you advertise your products, you will get customers. And as I mentioned earlier, happy customers usually become distributors, eventually. On the other hand, if you don’t want to advertise your products, use a funded proposal instead. For example, you could write a simple 5-page report about a topic you are knowledgeable about. If you are good at meeting prospects, you could write a short report about how to meet prospects and offer it on your website or blog for sale (or for free). Once someone requests (or purchases) the report, you could follow-up with them about your products or business opportunity on the back-end. Does that make sense? By following this advice, you will achieve better results and will also differentiate yourself from every other distributor in your company. Once you find something that works for you, make sure you teach your downline to do the same thing.
