MLM Recruiting Techniques
What are the best MLM recruiting techniques? What works? What doesn’t work? On this page, I will share some of my favorite MLM recruiting techniques with you.1. Create a Game-Plan: Every business owner needs a strategy. You need a recruiting strategy for your MLM business. Some of your options include warm market, newspaper advertising, online advertising, fliers, and more. Most network marketers start their recruiting efforts in their warm markets. However, once you’ve worked through your warm market, you need a game-plan. 2. Focus on One Strategy at a Time: When you focus on two or three strategies at a time, you lose focus. In my opinion, it’s better to focus on one network marketing recruiting strategy until you master it. At that point, you can keep using that strategy, or combine it with another recruiting strategy. 3. Focus on Quality, Not Quantity: Most people will tell you that this business is a numbers game. While that is true, I’ve also found that “certain types of people” tend to do very well in this industry. Some of your ideal prospects might be “other network marketers, business owners, sales professionals, and realtors.” By no way am I saying you should profile people. Instead, keep your eye open for sharp business people with a strong sales, marketing or business acumen. I believe it’s better to recruit 5 leaders into your business, than it is to recruit 50 people with no previous business, sales or marketing experience. 4. Think Like the Other Person: When you are recruiting someone into your business, take your eyes off yourself and think from their perspective. In other words, what’s in it for them? Focus on their wants, needs and desires. Don’t think about how much money you will make off them. Never forget the feelings you had when you were first introduced to the business opportunity. 5. Build Relationships: This business is about relationships. During my time in Amway, I discovered that many of the most successful distributors had people in their downline that had worked with them for 20, 30 or more years. Their key to success was “strong relationships.” Our industry has a high turnover rate. That is common knowledge. But one of the ways to reduce your turnover rate is to build strong relationships with people. Call them, coach them, talk with them and most importantly: listen to them. 6. Follow Up: I once heard that most people need to see an advertisement or message at least five times before they respond to it. If that is true, why would you only approach someone one time? My advice to you is to keep a contact book of everyone you talk with. Follow up with them every 6 to 9 months. Keep the door open for them. You never know what might change in their life. 7. Never Stop Recruiting: The most successful network marketers never stop recruiting. They always keep their eyes open for sharp people. They sponsor new distributors every month. This keeps the momentum going in their business. In conclusion, network marketing recruiting is a key skill you must develop, in order to succeed in this industry. By following the MLM recruiting techniques listed above, you will be well on your way to success with your own MLM business.
