MLM Marriage: How to Work with Your Spouse to Build a Successful MLM Business

What does the term MLM Marriage refer to? I define it as working collaboratively with your spouse to build your business. Let me start by saying that single people often have an advantage building a MLM business, because they won’t have a negative spouse who holds them back. If you are married and building a MLM business and your spouse is supportive, you are very fortunate.
If you are married, you will get much better results building your MLM business if you work together. It’s hard to build a business when one person wants to do it and the other person is nagging or unsupportive. When you work together, you can achieve much better results. Each of you knows lots of people. You now have two people building a business together, rather than one trying to build it themselves.
Another common meaning for MLM Marriage is to be married to your MLM business. What I mean by that is that you should make a lasting commitment to build your business. Like any marriage, there are peaks and valleys. You will face obstacles or challenges. If you want a marriage (or MLM business) to succeed, you need to be in it for the long haul. And you need to deal with challenges as they arise. That is the only way you will succeed (in marriage or business).
Trying out a MLM business is like trying out your marriage; it won’t work. After the initial enthusiasm wears off, reality sets in. At this point, you have to make conscious decision to keep moving forward. In other words, you have to work at your business, just like you have to work at your marriage to keep it healthy.
I truly believe that the most successful distributors have a supportive spouse who helps them grow their business. While many singles shoot to the top, a couple working together on the business has a much bigger advantage than a single person. All marriages and businesses require commitment, work and perseverance. If you are a short-term thinker, you won’t make it.
