MLM MarketersWhat are MLM Marketers? And what do you need to know about them? Let me start by telling you that the MLM Marketers are the people who really make the big bucks in the network marketing industry. It’s the people who understand marketing and master it, that end building large downlines and residual incomes. After all, marketing is the most important word in any business. I define marketing as the process of meeting a prospect, building a relationship with them, getting them to like you and trust you, generating a sale, providing world class customer service, and getting an endless stream of new referrals to work with. As you can see, marketing is everything that you do in your business; it’s not a single activity. Let me say that again. Everything you do is marketing. Your business card is marketing. How you talk to people is marketing. How you dress is marketing. How you answer your phone is marketing. How you explain your business opportunity to others is marketing. Simply put, everything you do is part of the marketing process. Sure, marketing starts with finding new prospects. But it’s what you do and say to those prospects that will ultimately determine your success. And the best MLM Marketers understand this. On the other hand, most people involved in the network marketing industry are amateurs. They believe that the “products” are their business. They have zero entrepreneurial, sales and marketing skills. They don’t treat their business like a real business. They don’t know how to follow up with prospects. And worst of all, they don’t have the posture and confidence required of great MLM marketers. When combined, this is a recipe for disaster. But there is hope. This isn’t a gloom and doom article. If you want to succeed in this industry, you must educate yourself. You must have the determination and commitment to develop effective marketing skills. You must be a student of your business. No one starts out as an expert. Everyone has to develop marketing skills over a period of time. If you are just getting started in the industry, it’s in your best interest to start developing your marketing skills. That means you should read books, attend seminars, listen to training tapes and get coaching from successful marketers. You should make a life-long commitment to learning. You should study online lead generation, list building, persuasion skills, communication skills, selling, copy-writing, leadership skills, and countless other topics. You will be pleasantly surprised at what you can learn in a short, two to five year time-frame. If you study a subject for an hour a day, for a few years, you will become an expert in that field. Any you should never stop learning. You should seek knowledge until the day you die. Amateurs don’t earn much money. Instead, it’s the experts that command the biggest incomes. So do yourself a favor and educate yourself. Made a commitment to become a student of your network marketing business, and watch your business transform before your eyes.
