MLM Local Leads



What should you know about MLM local leads? Let me start by telling you that local leads are your best source of leads when you are first starting out in network marketing. I believe that having a local group that you can teach, motivate and help is a good idea. You can work together to help each other succeed, without traveling far.

Whether you live in the country or the big city, there are plenty of great ways to get MLM local leads. In the paragraphs below, I want to share a few helpful ideas to help you get more leads. They are listed in no particular order.

1. Newspaper Ads: Advertising in your local newspaper is a great way to get started. It’s fairly cheap and easy to do. You can place a work from home ad or advertise your products.

2. Prospecting: Most people come in contact with 50-200 people each day. You need to start talking to people. Introduce yourself. Ask questions. Strike up friendly conversations. Collect business cards, build a favorable first impression and follow up with people.

3. Radio/Television: If you have a bigger budget, you can place ads on local television or radio. This is a good source for new leads.

4. Direct Mail: Direct mail is my favorite lead source. You can purchase a mailing list of people in your area and send them a postcard or flier in the mail. You can have people call a toll free number to hear a pre-recorded sizzle call, or send people to a website to learn more.

5. Job Fair/Trade Show: Job fairs and trade shows are a great way to meet people. You can set up a booth and meet new people. Job fairs have a large amount of foot traffic, so you should be able to meet plenty of prospects.

6. Flea Market/Fair: You can hand out fliers at a local fair or flea market. If you take massive action, you will generate some local leads.

7. Referrals: Most network marketers forget to ask for referrals from their downline distributors and from their happy customers. Everyone knows someone who might be interested in your products or opportunity. Don’t forget to ask.

8. Sizzle Cards/Fliers: Sizzle cards are a little bigger than a business card. They are designed to spark curiosity with your prospect. You simply have a catchy headline, 2-3 benefits and a call to action. You can leave them in public places, such as the gas station, library, book store, etc. On the sizzle card, you can send people to your website, or have them call a toll-free number.

As you can see, there are plenty of good ways to get MLM local leads. Your key to success is to develop a game plan, keep things simple, and do something for your business every single day. Inevitably, you are going to need to talk to people. They might call you first, but you will still need to answer their questions and help them get started. If you have a big fear of talking to people, you need to work on that. Very few people will just visit a website and sign up for your business, without talking to you first.

In conclusion, MLM local leads are my favorite source of leads for new network marketers. Most people could build a profitable network marketing business just from local leads. Your key to success is to pick a game-plan, get started and never quit. You must take consistent action, so you can build a momentum in your business. You must follow up with your MLM local leads and sponsor new distributors and customers. I hope that helps.
