What is a MLM lead generation company and what should you know about it? A lead generation company specializes in collecting home based business leads and then sells them to network marketers for a profit. Some lead companies purchase their leads from other lead companies, and then resell the leads for a profit. And other lead companies generate their own leads, and then resell them. In most cases, their leads are generated on different “work from home” themed websites, owned by the lead company.Before You Buy Leads Before you purchase leads from a MLM lead generation company, you should get answers to a few questions. First and foremost, is the person who is recommending the lead company to you making a profit from the sales? If so, are they telling you this upfront? If your sponsor or mentor is an affiliate with the lead company, he is probably earning a commission when you purchase the leads. There’s nothing wrong with this, assuming the leads are quality leads, and the person reveals their relationship with the lead company upfront. If they don’t tell you this information, don’t use that lead company. Another thing you want to find out is whether or not the leads are quality leads. You will find that most purchased leads are opportunity seeker leads. In other words, they aren’t good leads, because they aren’t network marketing leads. Ideally, you want leads of people who are actively get involved with network marketing, or are already involved in MLM, not people looking for a home based business. Also, most leads are oversold. In fact, most leads are sold to 5-10 different distributors. This limits your chances of success with purchased leads. You also want to find out what type of offer or survey the lead responded too. In some cases, leads are enticed to provide their information. This makes them a poor quality lead. Good Questions to Ask the Lead Company Before you invest a single penny, make sure you get answers to these questions. Call up the lead company and talk with a sales rep. Ask them to show you which websites and surveys they use to generate leads. Ask them what type of guarantee they offer. Do a quick internet search for the name of the lead company and see what you find. If possible, contact other distributors who have used the service before and see what they think. And by all means, start small and test your results. If you find a MLM lead generation company that seems legit, start out by ordering the smallest number of leads possible and test your results. That way you minimize your risk. Final Thoughts When it comes down to it, I don’t recommend you purchase leads from a MLM lead generation company. Instead, I highly recommend that you spend the time to learn how to generate your own leads. Although it might be difficult to do in the beginning, you will quickly learn the ropes and get good at it. I think it’s important to generate your own leads for a variety of reasons. The biggest reason is that you want quality leads. When you write the offer and advertise yourself, you can determine the quality of your leads. You also want exclusive leads that you don’t have to share with anyone else. And you want fresh leads that recently requested information. When you purchase leads from a lead company, you have little control over these things. In conclusion, a MLM lead generation company is a company that specializes in generating and selling leads. While some people swear by lead companies, I’m not a big fan myself. Instead, I think it’s a much wiser idea to learn how to generate your own leads. That way you can control the entire process and get better results.
