How to Build a MLM Income Online



MLM Income Online How do you earn a MLM income online? What are the keys to success? And why is it that so many people struggle with their online network marketing business? That’s a good question. In my opinion, most people fail with their online network marketing efforts because they simply promote their business opportunity first.

Personally, I think that’s a terrible idea. If you do an internet search you will find THOUSANDS of distributors spending hundreds of dollars per month on pay-per-click advertising to promote their business opportunity. And they get horrible results. Most people don’t sponsor a single person or sell one product. And they end up spending themselves out of this business in a month or less. If I could tell you one thing, it would be “Don’t do that!”

Instead, you need to take a completely different approach if you want to generate MLM income online. If I had to lay out a blueprint for you, it would look like this.

1. Create a Website: The first thing you need to do is create your own website or blog. Personally, I like websites better, but either one will work. In essence, you can create a network marketing themed website or you can pick a theme geared towards your company’s products. In either example, don’t mention the name of your MLM Company (ever) on your website. Keep it generic.

2. Create Lots of Content: Once you decide between a blog or website and you pick a theme, your next major task is to create lots of content. At a minimum, you should create at least one page of content every day. If you did that for a year, you would have 365 pages of content. I must warn you that it’s best to research your keywords wisely, because lots of network marketing terms are overly competitive. Ideally, you want words with good demand but low supply. As you create lots of content, your pages will start to show up in the search results. This will drive free traffic to your website. I believe this is the most important step to build a MLM income online.

3. Generate “Qualified” Traffic to your Website: The purpose of doing good keyword research is that you want to attract a targeted audience to your website. You don’t want opportunity seekers or people looking for a home-based business. Instead, you want to attract other network marketers or people who are looking for your products. Does that make sense?

4. Pre-Sell Your Visitors: The best thing you can learn how to do is develop your own tone of voice in your writing. It’s best to create your own unique writing style and use that on your blog or website. When you write good content, people will want to learn more about what you are selling or promoting.

5. Monetize Your Website: Most people make the mistake of trying to monetize their blog or website BEFORE they have any traffic. Traffic is the secret to success is developing a MLM income online. Without traffic, your website is simply “dead in space.” When you write lots of good content, you don’t need to pay for website visitors. The search engines will provide more than enough traffic. The key to properly monetizing your website is to create multiple streams of income. For instance, you could sell leads, sell eBooks, recommend training courses, promote affiliate products, sell your coaching services, sell advertising, provide website design, or do many other different things to make money. I recommend you have 5-10 different income streams, in addition to your primary MLM Company.

6. Build a List: Once you’ve done all the things listed above, your next key to success is to build a list. What is a list? A list is a group of people that give you permission to contact them via email. When you visit some websites, you will find an opt-in form where you can sign up for someone’s newsletter or training course. You need the same thing on your website. You need to get an auto-responder and add an opt-in form to your website. To get people to subscribe to your list, you need to give away a free eBook, special report, or something with a perceived value. As you collect names and emails, you can keep in touch with your prospects automatically, via your auto-responder. This is a vital step to build a MLM income online.

7. Offer Your MLM Opportunity on the Back End: Most network marketers make the terrible mistake of pitching their business right away. For the most part, this turns people off. When you “pitch” your business opportunity to people as soon as they get to your website, they will hit the back arrow and leave your website immediately. Instead, you need to build a relationship with them first, and then offer your business opportunity later.

Final Tips

This is the strategy I use to build my MLM income online. And I think it’s the safest strategy. I can’t take credit for developing this strategy on my own. I learned about 70% of it from Ken Envoy, the creator of Site Build It. And I learned the other 30% from Mike Dillard, the creator of Magnetic Sponsoring.

You will find some distributors who build a website geared around their MLM company. Personally, I think that’s a bad idea for two reasons. What if the company terminates your distributorship? If that happens, your website is no longer useful. And what if you leave your company to join a different company? In either case, you will have wasted hundreds (or thousands) of hours of your life that you can’t get back. Don’t make this common mistake!

In conclusion, if you want to create a MLM income online simply follow the advice listed in this article. By doing so, you will build a real business that creates multiple streams of income and provides long-term value for you and your family. Good luck!
