MLM Business Opportunity



MLM Business Opportunity What is the MLM business opportunity? In essence, it’s a way to start your own business for just a few hundred dollars. The MLM business opportunity is a very lucrative business opportunity with unlimited earnings potential. What I like most about our industry is that it’s an inexpensive way for the average American to transition from employee to entrepreneur.

What is a MLM Company?

A MLM Company is a company that sells products and services through an independent distributor sales-force. That means that the sales-force is independent contractors, not employees. Therefore, the company doesn’t advertise its products on the television, radio, Internet or in newspapers. And it doesn’t sell its products in retail stores. Instead, it lets its distributors sell the products one-on-one to customers. The distributors promote the products via word-of-mouth. In exchange, the money that would normally be spent on advertising is paid to the distributors as a commission or bonus.

The MLM Company itself has many advantages for picking this business model. First of all, word-of-mouth advertising is the most effective form of advertising. Think about it. When your friend tells you about a movie they recommend, most of the time you will go and watch the movie. On the other hand, if you see an advertisement for the same movie, it’s not as effective as your friend’s recommendation. You understand the advertisement’s sole purpose is to try to get you to go and watch the movie. As a result, your feelers are up and you are less receptive.

Next, the MLM Company only pays its sales-force when they sell the products. That means they don’t have to have employees as part of their sales-force. And they don’t have to pay for advertising. If you’ve ever owned a business before, you know that employees and advertising are your two biggest expenses. By eliminating these two expenses (or reducing them) the company can make more profit. Before we move on, let me clarify one thing. I’m not saying a MLM Company doesn’t have employees. They do. But normally they have fewer employees than a regular company that is the same size.

Advantages for Distributors

On the other hand, the MLM business opportunity also presents many advantages to its distributors too. The first advantage that comes to mind is the low start-up costs. Many “would be” entrepreneurs never start their own business because they can’t get sufficient funding. They don’t have the required $10,000 to $300,000 or more that is required to get started in a traditional business. However, the MLM business opportunity lets them start their own business for $100 to $300. In some cases, it’s even free. That means anyone can get started in their own business.

Furthermore, the MLM business opportunity gives people the chance to earn passive income. Passive income is money that comes in month-after-month, for doing something one time. The best examples of passive income I can give you are insurance premiums for insurance salesmen and book royalties for authors. Passive income should be a top priority for everyone. When you have a job or regular business, you have to keep working to keep getting paid. However, with passive income you can get paid for years to come, for something you did one time. That means you have time and money to live the lifestyle you want.

Another advantage of the MLM business opportunity is that you can help others succeed. When most traditional entrepreneurs help someone, that person becomes their competition. For example, a restaurant owner who helps one of his employees start his own restaurant now has an additional competitor. Because of this, few entrepreneurs are willing to help others get started in the same type of business. I can’t say I blame them.

More Advantages of MLM

In network marketing, you earn commissions by helping other people succeed. Isn’t that great? The more people you help succeed, the more money you make. That’s a win-win deal for everyone. Even better, if you help someone become more successful than you are, you benefit even more. I wish more business models worked that way.

Another advantage of the MLM business opportunity is that you have someone to train you. In MLM, everyone has a sponsor and upline. Your sponsor is the person that signed you up into the MLM Company. He or she is responsible to teach, coach, motivate and train you without charging you one cent. In other words, they are your personal entrepreneur coach. And if they aren’t effective, you can work with their sponsor, or their sponsor’s sponsor. Isn’t that great? I don’t know any other business model where someone will train and motivate you without charging you for it.

Next, another great thing about the MLM business opportunity is that you won’t need to carry an inventory. Instead, you simply take orders from your customers and downline distributors and then let the MLM Company service the order. That saves you lots of money. You won’t need to tie up your money with inventory or warehousing costs either. Most traditional businesses spend tens of thousands of dollars or more each month on those two expenses.

Personally, I’ve found that the MLM business opportunity is the best business model for most Americans. It’s the cheapest business to start. It requires the least amount of licensing. You won’t need employees or inventory. And you can earn passive income. All you need to do is find retail customers and sponsor new distributors. The more you can do this, the more money you will make.

What It's Not

However, please keep in mind that the MLM business opportunity is not a get rich quick scheme. It is like a regular business in many ways. It will take 2-5 years to build a profitable, sustaining business. Also, there is a learning curve. You will need training. You will make some mistakes and learn from your mistakes. You will have a growth curve as you learn the ropes. Also, it does take some capital to market and advertise your business.

Most of the people who quit this industry do so within their first 90 days. I find that crazy. No business succeeds in 90 days. If you aren’t willing to work hard, think long-term and learn from your mistakes, you shouldn’t get involved in network marketing in the first place. Also, this business is a “sales business.” If you think negatively of sales, you shouldn’t start this business or any other business. I’ve never met an entrepreneur in any industry who wasn’t a salesman.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, more people should participate in the MLM business opportunity. This opportunity has produced countless millionaires and helped more people change their lives for the better. It can do the same for you. Even if you don’t want to become a distributor yourself, you could also convert your traditional business into a MLM business opportunity that others could join.
