Jewelry Party Plans: How to Sell Jewelry at In Home Parties

What are Jewelry Party Plans? Simply put, a jewelry party plan is the process of selling jewelry via in home parties. Believe it or not, it’s actually quite popular. Some of the leading direct sales jewelry companies include, Silpada Designs, Cookie Lee, and Bella Beads. These companies manufacture the jewelry and allow independent sales reps to sell the jewelry to friends and family.

Whether you sell jewelry manufactured by a direct sales company, or your own home-made jewelry, you should consider using Jewelry Party Plans. So, how does it work? Actually, it’s quite simple. To get started, you need to find someone to host an in-home party. You can start by asking your friends and family. Once someone agrees to host a party, they agree to invite 10 to 20 of their friends over, on a specific date.

Most in-home jewelry parties last a couple hours. During the party, the presenter shares the jewelry, talks about the features and benefits, and collects orders. Typically, refreshments are provided by the hostess. The parties are fun and exciting and are a great way to socialize with friends and family, while sampling jewelry at the same time.

As a sales rep, your key to success is:

1. Prepare the Hostess: Your first and most important step is to prepare the hostess. That means that you need to teach her what to expect at the party. Show her how to invite guests, what to prepare for snacks and how to arrange the room. Additionally, you should agree to “terms” ahead of time. That means your hostess has a clear understanding of what she will receive by hosting the party. This typically includes a cash bonus or free gifts.

2. Game Plan: You need a game plan. This includes an agenda, calculator, credit card merchant account, inventory, samples, catalogues and more. You need to have an idea about how you will organize your presentation and what you will say to your guests.

3. Start on Time: It’s critical to start on time. So make sure you get to the party a few minutes early so you can set up and get organized.

4. Have Fun: During the event, try to have fun. Make the experience a memorable one for your guests.

5. Take Orders: At the end of the party, take orders. Ask for the sale. Take orders and collect the money. If you have the inventory with you (which you should) give the ladies their products. If you don’t have sufficient inventory available, get their orders and fulfill the orders as quickly as possible.

6. Book Additional Parties: One of your key objectives during the party is to book additional party plans with your excited guests. By doing so, you will keep the momentum going in your business.

7. Reward the Hostess: The final step is to reward your hostess for hosting the party. Whatever you agreed to ahead of time, make sure you follow through and deliver. If you agreed to paying her a percentage of the total sales, make sure you pay her promptly. Or if you offered free products, make sure you give her the products. A nice final touch is to send a written thank you card to the hostess.

By following the steps outlined above, you can earn a nice income selling jewelry via Jewelry Party Plans. Some ladies make a full-time living selling jewelry at in-home parties, while other women earn a substantial part-time income.
