Information Marketing Products

(MD)
What are information marketing products? And how do they work? Personally, I define information marketing products as educational products such as eBooks, CDs, DVDs, training courses, webinars and more. They can cover a wide array of topics such as, money, relationships, communication, network marketing, leadership, entrepreneurship, losing weight and just about anything else.
Someone who creates and sells information marketing products is known as an infopreneur. And there are infopreneurs for just about every topic you can imagine. Some of the most well known infopreneurs include Robert Kiyosaki, Robert Allen, and Dan Kennedy. I make my full-time living as an infopreneur too.
Creating and selling information marketing products is a great way to earn a living. It gives you the opportunity to work in a field that you are knowledgeable and passionate about. And you can work from the privacy of your own home. Best of all, you don’t need employees, additional office space or other traditional business expenses.
In my opinion, everyone is knowledgeable at something. For instance, if your hobby is building model cars, and you are very knowledgably about that subject, you could become an infopreneur about model cars. You could create your own “model cars” blog or website, write an eBook, create a DVD or training course, create an auto-responder email training series, hold seminars or just about anything else. Just be creative.
Your key to success is to pick a small, narrow niche and become the leader in that niche. Don’t make the mistake of picking a huge niche that is already flooded with competition. If possible, try to find a niche with 5,000-10,000 people. For example, I turned my Army National Guard military experience into a profitable website and eBooks for other Army National Guard Lieutenants and Captains. And I own that niche. I have zero competition.
You should follow a similar path. Once you pick a niche, you should create your own blog or website with lots of content. Once you have a following, you should create your own information marketing products and start selling them on your website. The best thing to do is keep your day job and start this as a part-time venture. As your information marketing products business expands, you can one day quit your job and go full time.
In conclusion, infopreneuring is a great industry with plenty of potential. If you are thinking about getting started as an infopreneur, you should choose a very small, narrow niche that you can become the top guru. The best way to get started is to start small and create a few different information marketing products. As you build a following and produce a good cash flow, you can devote more time to your expand your business.
