How to Market My Seminar by Way of DVD

by Chuck
(MD)

The phrase how to market my seminar by way of DVD is quite popular online. Many seminar promoters are trying to find more effective ways to promote their seminars. Personally, I believe that using DVDs is a great way to do it. Here’s how it would work.

Rather than doing what most seminar promoters do and advertise the seminar itself, you could advertise a free DVD. When people respond to your ad, they would provide you their contact information, and become a lead. Once they provided you this information, you could mail them your DVD. Your DVD could be an excerpt or clip from a previous seminar. At the end of the DVD, you could provide your website and contact information telling your lead where they can find more information about your upcoming seminars.

Many people who receive the free DVD will call you back immediately and sign up for an upcoming seminar, you have scheduled. And you could keep following up with all of your other leads forever, until they are interested in attending a seminar. You could send out a monthly newsletter to your leads to keep them informed about what is going on in your business, and the industry. You can also use postcards, emails, faxes, and telemarketing to sell additional products and services.

Please know that you might lose money on the front end. After all, the single greatest expense for most businesses is acquiring a new customer. Let’s suppose it costs you $40 to locate a new customer. For instance, you spend $1000 on advertising and $600 to produce some DVDS. Of that $1600 you spent, you generate 40 leads.

Let’s also suppose you sell tickets to your seminar seats at $995 each. Of those 40 leads, you generate 4 immediate sales, which equates to almost $2400 profit in your pocket right away. But, you market a variety of other products and services to your leads over the next 12 months, and generate an additional $10k in seminar sales. I hope you are getting the point about marketing to your prospects continuously. It can pay huge dividends in your seminar business.

By reading the information in this article, you should know how to market your seminar by way of DVD. Giving away free DVDS to generate new leads and potential customers is a very cost effective way to grow your business. Your key to success is to keep following up with your leads forever, by using a variety of techniques such as email marketing, direct mail, telemarketing and broadcast fax.
