Home Purse Parties
Home purse parties are a growing trend in the United States and Canada. Companies such as Miche Bag have entered the scene and allowed women to make money with their own direct sales business. Although I am a guy, I think it’s a pretty cool deal. With our economy is constant turmoil, more stay at home moms and regular moms are forced to help improve their family finances. As a result, more and more women get involved with the direct selling industry each year. They join a variety of different kinds of companies, selling everything from cosmetics to jewelry, and now purses. Depending upon the woman’s selling skills, personal motivation and time available; she can earn a nice income via the home party-plan. And she can make her own schedule, so she doesn’t have to sacrifice family time. How it Works The easiest way to get started is to find a direct sales company specializing in purses. At the time of this writing (2011) the only direct sales purse company I know of is Miche Bag. For a small enrollment fee you can join Miche Bag and start selling purses to retail customers. When you join the company, you can buy the purses at wholesale cost and then resell them for a retail profit at in-home parties. People just getting started can schedule in home parties with their friends and family members. Whoever agrees to host an in home meeting is known as the hostess. Typically, she invites over 10-12 friends and the presenter comes over to show and demonstrate the purses. Normally, the hostess gets a percentage of the sales, or gets a cash bonus or free products. These parties normally last a couple hours and are lots of fun. Best of all, the hostess makes money, gets to spend time with her girlfriends, and have fun. And the presenter typically makes a couple hundred dollars per evening, depending upon her sales skills. Simply put, it’s a win-wins situation for everyone involved. Making Money If the whole idea of home purse parties appeals to you, that’s a good thing. You can make a nice part-time or full-time income selling purses at home purse parties. Typically, you can make a 30-40% retail profit for each purse sold. And you can sponsor some of the happy customers into your business. When you do this, you can earn overrides and commissions from their sales. This allows you to make immediate profits and build residual income. Your key to success boils down to selling. You have to learn how to sell. The more purses you sell, the more money you can make. In addition, you need good people skills and good time management skills to succeed. The most successful consultants are very busy and productive. They book lots of in-home meetings and get lots of customers. Final Thoughts Home purse parties are a fantastic way to supplement your income, especially if you enjoy in-home parties. Any woman with some initiative and good social skills could easily supplement, or even replace her income selling purses. Best of all, it’s fun, easy to do, and flexible. I think it’s the ideal situation for any stay-at-home mom. On a side note, I would love to hear from you. If you are involved with a direct sales company that specializes in purses, I’d love to know what you think. What type of success have you achieved? How long have you been involved? Additionally, if you have ever been to one of these home purse parties, I would like to hear from you too. What was it like? Was it fun? To share your thoughts just fill out the web-form below.
