Home-Based MLM Business

Home Based MLM Business Should you start a home-based MLM business? I think so. In my opinion, everyone should own their own home-based MLM business. By doing so, they would have additional tax advantages they don’t currently have as employees. And most people need a supplemental income, too. What better way to do that than start a part-time home-based business?

Popular Home Businesses

If you are considering starting your own home-based business, you do have several different options. Some of the popular home-based businesses include infopreneuring, online auctions, online stores, affiliate marketing, craft businesses, tax services, etc. In essence, there are hundreds of different types of businesses you could run from the privacy of your own home. Your key to success is to find a business that you understand and enjoy. In addition, it must have the potential to sustain your lifestyle while giving yourself more time freedom.

My Favorite Option

Although all of the methods listed above are viable business options, I think there is one better option. I believe the home based MLM business is the best option for the average guy and girl. It offers many advantages that the other home-based businesses don’t offer. The single biggest advantage is the ability to earn passive income.

That’s what I love most about network marketing the most; the passive income. Essentially, you can do something once and get paid forever for it. Several examples of passive income include insurance premiums and book or music royalties. For example, an author can write a book and potentially earn royalties for years to come. That’s powerful.

Advantages of MLM

Another advantage of network marketing is that you get a mentor for free. You get someone willing to teach, train and motivate you without ever charging you a dollar. That alone, makes owning a home based MLM business is a no brainer. I can’t think of any other business model where other people want you to be more successful than them.

With the other types of home-based businesses, you’ve essentially created yourself another job. What I mean by that is that you have to keep working to get paid. To most people, that’s not a big deal because that’s all they have ever done with their job. However, I don’t want to be like most people. I want to do something once and earn an ongoing passive income. Let me give you an example to clarify my point.

MLM or eBay?

In addition to my MLM business, I also own an eBay store. Although it is a profitable business it is a lot of work. I must acquire inventory, list the items online, answer customer questions, and ship the packages when items sell. If I don’t redo these steps every day, I no longer get paid. In other words, there is no residual income. And I work like a dog.

But here’s the key point. Although I earn a nice profit selling items on eBay, eBay itself has the better end of the deal. It keeps a small (10 to 15%) commission from every item sold. It has millions of people like me working hard to build a profitable home-based business. And eBay keeps a cut from every single one of those people. Therefore, eBay earns a residual income from people like me.

While I don’t think this is a horrible deal, I would rather be in eBay’s position. That’s why I got involved in network marketing. I keep my eBay business going while I am building my MLM business to pay my living expenses. Ultimately, when my network marketing income surpasses my eBay income, I will shut down my eBay business.

Reasons to Start a MLM Business

I think you should start a home-based MLM business because you can work from home. You can get started for less than a few hundred bucks and even have great tax advantages. You will have someone to coach you and train you as you learn the ropes. In other words, you are in business for yourself, but not by yourself. On a side note, I’ve never had anyone give me one hour of help to help me improve my eBay business. Everything I learned, I had to learn from my own mistakes. Having a mentor to help you is very important.

More importantly, you can keep your day job while you build your home-based MLM business part-time. This eliminates the financial pressure you might otherwise have had if you had to quit your job to start your own home-based MLM business.Another great advantage about our industry is that you require no additional office space, no employees, no business licenses, and no inventory. All you need to do is spend your time finding new customers and distributors and provide them with high quality customer service. How awesome is that?

Getting Started

It will cost some money to get started, purchase sample products, and other required business tools, but the expense is small. Most network marketers can get everything listed above for less than $1,000. In some cases, it’s much cheaper. Now, don’t take me the wrong way here. Just because you get started in your own home-based MLM business doesn’t mean you will succeed. Don’t expect to get rich overnight or achieve instant success. As a business owner you always have the potential to fail. And it doesn’t matter what type of business it is.

MLM success is simple, but not easy. Our industry has earned a bad reputation by people who never should have got involved in the first place. But just because some people had bad experiences doesn’t mean a home-based MLM business isn’t a great business opportunity. In spite of all the failures, countless people have achieved financial success in our industry. I know you can achieve the same level of success if you get started and don’t quit.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, I believe every American should own their own home-based business. Although there are many different options, a work from home MLM business is the most viable option because of the ability to earn passive income. Few other home-based businesses give you that option.

On a side note, I would love to hear from you. What do you love about owning your own home-based business? Please share your story or testimonial in the web-form below. Help spread the word about the benefits of owning your own home-based business.
