What are guaranteed sign ups? And what should you know about them? This is a popular new online trend where you can pay a lead company to send people to your website. In essence, they send people to your sales page or capture page for a free offer. Whenever someone visits your page and enters their name and email, they are considered guaranteed sign ups. How does it work? First, you need your own squeeze page or capture page. You need a form on your page where prospects can enter their contact information. Next, you find a lead company that sells guaranteed sign ups. You pay the fee and give them the link to your page. They promise to deliver guaranteed sign ups within a specific amount of time, normally 30 days. Please know that most lead companies own several high traffic websites. That’s where the leads come from. They place a link to your capture page on their website, in order to send you traffic and get guaranteed signups. They drive lots of traffic to your capture page and a small portion of those people sign up for your offer. The lead company uses tracking software to ensure you get the right amount of signups on your page. It really is that simple. Personally, I’ve tried this lead generation method in the past, but never had much success. But I must admit that some people swear by it. The problem I have with guaranteed signups is you don’t really know if the person signed up for your offer, or if someone else input their information. You also don’t know if they were enticed or persuaded to enter their contact information. As a result, you typically get low quality leads. Very few of these leads will ever upgrade to your paid offer. Therefore, don’t be surprised if you lose money following this method. On the other hand, I think it’s a much wiser idea to generate your own leads. You should spend the time and money to learn how to send traffic to your own website and capture pages. That way you have control over the entire process. In summary, if you are thinking about purchasing guaranteed signups, I highly recommend you try out a few different lead companies and track your results. That way, you can see if this method works for you. Obviously, individual results will vary. You could succeed or fail with this method. I’d also recommend you start with a small budget, before you roll out a major advertising campaign. After all, you don’t want to waste money on ineffective advertising.
