Wouldn’t it be nice to have an endless supply of free MLM leads? You bet it would. Even better, wouldn’t it be nice to have a growing list of qualified, receptive and eager free leads? I bet you answered yes again. That’s what you need to grow a large MLM business. You need a big list of leads.The biggest challenge in this business is having a continuous, growing pipeline of free network marketing leads. When distributors get started they make a list of friends, family members and personal acquaintances. That list normally consists of fifty to two hundred people. Once a distributor goes through her list of contacts, she gets stuck. In most cases, she doesn’t know what to do next. Your Two Options At this point in the business, you really only have two choices. You can purchase MLM leads or you can generate your own free leads. Both methods work and both are really easy to do. My goal in this article is to help you generate your own free MLM leads. Furthermore, most MLM distributors don’t have much extra money sitting around to use for their marketing budget. So, if your marketing budget is tight, don’t fret. One of the biggest problems of new entrepreneurs is having too much money when they first start their business. Yes, you read that right. Personally, I think having limited funds is a good thing, because it makes you get creative and frugal. Personally, I like free MLM leads. My goal is to have 10-20 people call me (or email me) every day about my business opportunity. Wouldn’t you like to have that happen to you? I learned a long time ago that I don’t want to bug friends and family. I don’t want to cold-call and convince people to join my business. I don’t’ want to come across as the desperate salesperson. That stuff turns me off. After all, MLM is supposed to be fun. How to Get Free Leads So how do you get free MLM leads? There are many ways to generate free MLM leads. Listed below are three of my favorite methods: 1. Prospecting: Prospecting is a great way to generate free MLM leads. When the MLM industry first started in the late 1950s, distributors built their businesses the old fashion way. What is the old fashioned way? It’s simple. It’s known as the three foot rule. Whenever you come in contact with someone within three feet of you, you introduce yourself. You strike up a conversation. You talk about your products and services. If they express interest, you get their contact information and follow-up with them at a later date. I guarantee you could meet 3-5 new people every single day, if you would put a smile on your face, held out your hand and introduced yourself to new people. If you did this, you would always have someone to share your business opportunity with. Doesn’t that make sense? Even if you are naturally shy, you must overcome your fear. Business is about promotion, marketing and advertising. The best way to do that is face-to-face. So, why don’t you get out of your comfort zone a little bit? If you do, you will have all the free MLM leads you want. 2. Referrals: Referrals are a great source of new leads. You should talk with current customers and current downline distributors to generate a new list of leads. You can offer free products, discounts, and other incentives to get the referrals. If one of their referrals joins the business, you can offer a cash bonus or offer to put the person in their downline. Remember, everyone has a sphere of influence. Every friend, family member and customer knows 10-20 people who would buy your product. If you never ask them for referrals, you are missing out on a lot of business. 3. Content Based Website: I probably shouldn’t tell you this, but I’m going to let you in on a secret. The Internet has revolutionized our industry. Now, network marketers can have access to nearly one billion people online. Despite this golden opportunity, most network marketers have no idea how to generate free MLM leads online. It’s not their fault though. They’ve never been taught the right way to generate free MLM leads online. Tips for Success Most networkers make the mistake of promoting a company replicated website or capture page. In my opinion, that’s a big mistake. If your company offers you a generic company site, don’t use it. Please realize another five to ten thousand distributors are promoting the same website with no results. Instead, you need to get creative. You need to create a blog or website designed around a specific theme. For instance, I created this website about multi-level marketing. The purpose of the website is to educate my visitors about the industry. I also know that some people might be interested in learning more about me and the company I represent. Those people become my free MLM leads. I pre-sell them with the valuable content. I don’t beg them to join my business. I don’t ask to sponsor them. You should follow the same technique. For instance, let’s suppose you are involved with a MLM Company that sells vitamins. You could create a content heavy website about vitamins. It could discuss the different types of vitamins such as multi-vitamins, B vitamins, calcium, vitamin C, etc. The website could discuss the benefits of these vitamins and educate people. Remember, you shouldn’t discuss your company’s vitamins specifically. If you did, your website would come off as a sales pitch and visitors would leave. But if you provided great content, I guarantee some of your visitors would contact you to learn more. These visitors become your free MLM leads. You could follow up with them and sign up new customer and distributors. You could devote a majority of your time to adding new content and improving your website. As your site grew in popularity, you would have 5, 10 or even 20 people calling you everyday to learn more about vitamins. I hope you understand how powerful that is. That’s how I spend most of my leisure time. Final Thoughts In summary, all distributors must strive to get free MLM leads. The best way to do that is to get referrals, prospect new people in everyday life, or build a content-themed website. All methods are very effective. If you want to maximize your results, focus your energy on one specific method until you master it. If you implement even one of these methods you will never need to spend another dollar on advertising. And you will have an endless flow of free MLM leads, which will help you reach your goals and achieve MLM success.
