• Get an Auto-responder: In the Internet age, you need an auto-responder. An auto-responder is a software program that lets you automatically send email messages to your subscriber list. You write the message one time, and set a delivery frequency. As new leads are added to your list, they automatically receive your emails. My favorite auto-responder service is Aweber.

• Write 10-50 email messages: Once you have an auto-responder, you need to write your messages. Your objective is to “write like you talk.” Create persuasive emails with catchy headlines and subject lines. Try to strike curiosity with your prospects, and then present a strong call to action. A sample call to action would be, “click on the enclosed link to get your free special report.” You could even add a “don’t miss out, this offer will expire in the next twenty-four hours” after your call to action. This will created a sense of urgency. Does that make sense?

Also, try to keep each email to three to five paragraphs. You don’t want to write a novel, because most people have short attention spans. If you “overwhelm” them with information, they will hit the back-button and delete your message. So, keep it simple!

• Upload Your Messages into your auto-responder: Once your messages are done, you need to upload them into your auto-responder and set a frequency. If you have 30 messages, I recommend you send one message per day, for thirty days. That way, you keep in touch with your subscribers frequently.

• Get Leads: Once your auto-responder is set-up with your messages your top priority is to get leads. You can buy leads and generate your own leads. I think you should first put an opt-in form on your blog or website. When people visit your website, they can type in their name and email and they will automatically be added to your auto-responder. This is how you generate your own leads. Once they do that, they will start getting your messages automatically.

When you purchase leads, you will need to upload them into your auto-responder. Depending upon which auto-responder service you use, you might need to send out a confirmation email before people can start receiving your messages. This gives you “permission” to email them and keeps you in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act.

Don’t forget that leads are the lifeblood of your business. You should spend 50-80% of your time getting leads. This includes advertising, working on your marketing plan, and purchasing leads.

• Email MLM Leads: This is the next to last step in the email MLM leads process. Once you upload the leads into your auto-responder, it will email MLM leads for you.

• Follow-Up: This last step is optional. In some cases it will help you get better results if you follow-up with your leads with the telephone. For instance, if you notice that some people are clicking on the links in your emails, you could give them a call to close the sale or answer any questions they might have. I’ve found that following up with people will increase your sponsoring and selling success.

Disadvantages of Email Leads

Although there are many advantages of using the email MLM leads process, there are also several disadvantages. The major disadvantage of using this technique is that it is impersonal. Most people get lots of unsolicited emails every day. Therefore, they might not open your email. Also, if you use a bad auto-responder service, many of your emails might get blocked by the spam filters. That means you email won’t even make it to the junk folder. That’s bad. And that is why you need to use a reputable auto-responder like Aweber or Get Response.

Key Tip for Success

Here’s a key point to remember. Most people need to see an offer five to ten times before they respond to it. Think about the hundreds of offers you are exposed to every day. Do you act on each offer? No. But each offer plants a seed in your subconscious mind. Eventually, you will react to certain offers; especially if you are exposed to them frequently.

You need to keep that in mind when you are creating your email campaigns. You want to keep delivering your messages to your email list, frequently. At a minimum, you should send and email daily, or every other day. And you should change your wording, headlines and subject titles a little bit. But that’s about it. You basically email people until they unsubscribe or buy your product or service.
