Direct Sales Leads
What are direct sales leads? And where can you get them? If you are involved in a direct sales business, you probably realize that leads are the life-blood of your business. Without leads, you won’t have anyone to share your products or business opportunity with. And you will be out of business fast. I don’t want that to happen to you, so I’m going to share some helpful tips on where to get direct sales leads.
Please know that you have many options. I’m just going to cover five of my favorite ways to get leads, in the paragraphs below. I hope this helps.
1. Referrals: Referrals are the easiest ways to get business. You should always keep a master list of every person you’ve ever talked to, every person you’ve sold something to, and every person you’ve ever done an in-home party with. You can stay in touch with these folks via email, or by telephone, and ask for referrals. Feel free to offer an incentive such as a cash bonus or free products for anyone they refer who books a party. If you treat your customers well, many of them will give you referrals. But, you have to ask for the referrals. So, don’t forget to do that.
2. Prospecting: Prospecting is very important. You have to step out of your comfort zone and talk to people. To be honest with you, you probably meet 50-100 people each day. If you are friendly and chat with some of these folks, you will always have direct sales leads. You will always have someone you can call or follow up with to book an appointment or in-home party. Try to meet 3-5 people each day.
3. Facebook: Facebook is a powerful too. It’s a great way to connect with old friends and with people in your community. Seek out friendships on Facebook. Build a fan page for your business or website. Don’t make the common mistake of spamming people right away with your business opportunity. Instead, strike up conversations first and then try to convert some of your new friends into direct sales leads. You can do this by sending private messages or by giving your new friends a call.
4. Lead Companies: There are many lead companies that offer direct sales leads. While I am not a big fan of lead companies myself, I know that some people have built huge businesses with lead companies. Your key success is to find leads in your local area who have requested information about your business opportunity. This leads might cost more than standard leads, but they are worth the extra money, in my opinion.
5. Newspaper Classifieds: One of the fastest ways to get direct sales leads is to put a classified ad in your local newspaper. You could advertise your products or you could advertise “make money by hosting an in home party.” You will be pleasantly surprised as to how cost effective this is. If you can place an ad for a couple hundred bucks, and book 3-4 in home parties, you will see a positive return on your investment right away. Your key to success is to test different ads and different newspapers to see what produces the best results.
As you can see, these are five simple ways to get more leads for your direct sales business. It really is simple to do, if you are willing to put in some work and invest some time and money. You simply need to be consistent, be disciplined and keep working on finding new leads or your business each day. My best advice is referrals. Call everyone you know and ask for referrals. This method is free, easy to do, and quite effective. Don’t forget to reward people for their referrals either.
