Bulk email list marketing is a horrible way to promote your business. This is the process of buying an email list and sending them your messages. This is also known as spam, because these people did not give you permission to email them.If you do an internet search for bulk email list marketing you will get thousands of results. Hundreds of different companies offer email mailing lists for sale. Many novice online marketers purchase these lists in hopes of sending their offer to thousands of people and generating a few sales. Several years ago, I did the same thing myself. Not only did I get horrible results, but I also pissed a lot of people off. I can think of few things that make people more upset than getting what they consider spam email in their inbox. People will tolerate unsolicited regular mail, and sometimes even telemarketers, but when it comes to email, spam really upsets people. Just think about it for a moment. How many emails to you get each day from people you don’t know? When I checked my inbox yesterday, I had 138 emails. About 1/3 of those emails were from people I knew, or people I gave permission to send me offers and emails. The other 2/3 were complete strangers, sending me messages without my permission. If you want to succeed with internet marketing, you shouldn’t follow the bulk email list marketing approach. Instead, you should generate your own leads and then follow up with them. This is much more effective and will give you a better return on your investment and time. You could create a squeeze page to generate leads. Or you can add a simple opt-in form to your website to generate leads. When this happens, people give you their name and email and give you permission to email them. This is the ultimate win-win situation for you. Remember, the money is in the list. The top internet marketers spend their time building their own email list, building a relationship with their list by sending educational and quality emails, and then they monetize their list. They don’t just purchase mailing lists and spam everyone in hopes of making a few sales. Do yourself a favor and do what the top earners do. You will be glad you did. In conclusion, bulk list email marketing is the process of sending out large amounts of emails to people who haven’t give n you permission to do so. This is in clear violation of the CAN-SPAM Act. In order for you to mass email people, you must have their permission first. This means they “opted-in” to your email list, or even better “double opted-in.” This is the ideal lead. Remember, email marketing is a very effective marketing strategy, if you follow the advice listed in this article.
