Biz Builder Champions: What It Takes to Succeed with a Home Based Business

What are biz builder champions? I define them as people who start their own home based business, develop new skills, never quit, and eventually succeed. If the study any of the thousands of biz builder champions, people who make a full time living from their home based business, you will quickly discover that they were not an overnight success. Many of these folks failed for a few years, before they ever made a dollar profit. And some took even longer than that to succeed.

Most successful home based entrepreneurs have a few things in common. First of all, they have a burning desire to be financially free. The single most important thing to them is to become financially free, so they can do what they want, when they want to do it. The second thing they have in common is that they have a game-plan. In other words, they have a strategy outlining what they need to do to succeed. Finally, they have the perseverance to stick with their initial decision until they succeed.

It’s a proven fact that most home based businesses and traditional businesses fail. This happens in every industry. Businesses fail for a variety of reasons, but 99% of the time, it is the owner’s fault. Typically, the owner doesn’t have a strategic outlook, a game plan, a burning desire, or perseverance. These same owners might blame someone else for their failures, but ultimately the responsibility rests on their shoulders.

When you study biz builder champions such as Rachel Long, Stone Evans, Mike Dillard, Ed Bestoso and many other successful home based entrepreneurs, you notice something totally different. These folks take responsibility for their actions. They are committed to what they do. They focus on learning new skills each and every single day. They persevere, even through tough times. And they eventually succeed!

If you want to join the ranks of the biz builder champions, you have to burn your bridges. You have to “sell out” to your home business, even if it is just a part-time effort, and you must work your business consistently until you succeed. You also need a game plan, a burning desire, and the willingness to take action. You can’t just start a business and expect overnight success. You must do the work every day and never give up. That is the key to success.

No one ever wants to talk about this aspect of the biz builder champions. Most folks want the easy way out, and they aren’t willing to do the work. Most folks are looking for the secret. Well guess what? There is no secret. Your key to success is to get started, develop a game plan, and never give up. You also have to have the “desire” so you keep working, even after your initial enthusiasm wears off.
