Best MLM Business Opportunity

Best MLM Business Opportunity What exactly is the best MLM business opportunity? That is the million dollar question. Over the past few days I’ve received about ten emails from different people all telling me that their company was the best MLM business opportunity. Whenever I hear this from people, I always laugh.

I’m not sure exactly how many MLM Companies are in existence. The number changes every day. But, I’d guess that it would be safe to say that there are several thousand direct sales and multi-level marketing companies out there. Sadly, few of these companies will not make it past the five year mark. Most MLM Companies eventually go defunct. And few companies make it 10, 20 or 30 years. Even fewer companies ever become one of the big dogs, doing one billion or more per year in annual sales.

That being said, some MLM opportunities are still much better than others. When I am evaluating all the different companies out there to try and find the best MLM business opportunity, here is what I look for:

1. Company’s Track Record: How long has the company been in business? What type of track record do they have? Are they affiliated with the Better Business Bureau and Direct Selling Association? I always look for companies that have been around at least five years and are affiliated with the BBB and DSA.

2. Company’s Reputation: What type of reputation does the company have? Are there thousands of negative websites and internet pages that speak badly about the company? If so, run the other direction. If you say your company’s name, and it makes people cringe, you are with the wrong company!

3. Company Revenue: What type of revenue does the company have? Has it grown consistently during the past few years? How much of the revenue is paid back to distributors in the forms of savings, retail profits and commissions?

4. Financial Backing: What type of financial backing does the company have? Is it publicly traded on the stock market? Can the owners raise more capital if it needs to rebuild its infrastructure due to rapid growth?

5. Product Line: What type of product line does the company offer? Is it unique or consumable? Are the products patented? Are they a good value to the customer, even at the retail price?

6. Company Leadership: What type of experience does the company leadership have in this industry? Were they distributors at one time? Do they have prior experience building a successful MLM Company?

7. Compensation Plan: How much of each dollar revenue is paid back to distributors? How many people will it take, and how much sales volume, for a distributor to earn $1,000 per month, $5,000 per month, $10,000 per month and so forth?

If you took out a sheet of paper and evaluated a bunch of different companies using these criteria, you would find that not all companies are created equal. Unfortunately, most distributors cannot do this, or will not do this, because they are caught up in the hype of their company. They are so excited and enthusiastic that they let their emotion cloud their logic.

Don't let this happen to you. Take the time to make a list of important criteria, and evaluate several different companies, before you join one. That way you make an educated decision and don’t waste your time trying to build a downline with the wrong company.

After you do your research, you should find the best MLM business opportunity for you to join. However, the opportunity itself isn’t the most important thing. It’s what you do with the opportunity that matters. You can join a great company and fail miserably, and you can join a poor or average company and make it big. Your success boils down to your ability to market, promote and share your opportunity and products with others. If you can’t do that well, you’re screwed.

However, if you join the right company and work hard, you should build a successful business and earn a substantial income that will pay you for a long time. You can improve your chances of success by partnering up with a succesful mentor. Like any smart entrepreneur, do your homework before you join any MLM Company and don’t let your emotion cloud your logic.
