Article Marketing Research

Article Marketing Research What is article marketing research? And what do you need to know about it? I define it as the process of researching information for your articles. I’ve found that few article marketers put much thought into their articles. Instead, they simply write down what they are thinking, without spending any time to research the facts or verify their information.

In some cases, this might be acceptable. But if you are writing articles with statistics, figures and numbers, I think it’s a wise idea to do your article marketing research first. That way your articles are correct. Additionally, please keep in mind that just because you find information on the internet doesn’t mean the information is factual. Anyone can post information online. It’s up to you to evaluate the information and verify it, before you cite it as a source.

Another good reason to do research before you write your article is to find good keywords. If you want to write articles that get noticed in the search engines, you need to research the “major keyword” for your article. You want to look for keywords with at least 500 searches each month. You can do this by visiting the Google External Keyword Tool. You also want to check the competition to see how many other websites have pages geared around your keyword.

The easiest way to check your competition is to go to Google.com. Type in your keyword and click search. When the search results appear, look in the upper left corner to see how many search results appear. In an ideal situation, you want less than 300,000 search results. Anything more than that will be difficult for you to rank high.

I’ve found that the most successful article marketers follow the advice I mentioned in this article. They make sure they provide quality information that is interesting, educational and entertaining. They verify their information and cite their sources. And they do plenty of research to ensure their keywords aren’t overly competitive. This helps them write articles that get noticed and send traffic to their website. I hope this information helps.
