What do you need to know about MLM Companies? In this short article, I will discuss five things you need to know about MLM Companies. Please know these are just my opinions. Let’s get started.
1. They’re in Business to make Money: Businesses are in business to make money for the owners and shareholders. While the MLM Company supports its independent distributors, the most important thing is the bottom line for the company. That’s why rules change and compensation plans get modified.
2. They Don’t Know Much about Marketing: Most MLM Companies do a poor job teaching their distributors about marketing. Most companies still teach their distributors old and outdated ways to build their business, such as making a name list or talking with friends and family. And if the company was better at marketing, they wouldn’t have an independent sales force. They would sell their products directly to the consumer instead.
3. They Have Lots of Rules to Prevent You from Building Your Business the Way You Want To: If you read any MLM Distributor policy, you will be unpleasantly surprised to discover how many different rules there are preventing you from building your business online. Most companies prevent you from using the company name online at all. And even if a company lets you use the company name, you are very limited on what you can do or say. Furthermore, some companies don’t let you use their name in newspaper ads, direct mail or fliers. If you don’t believe me, take out your distributor agreement right now and read it! While MLM Distributors own their own business, they are very limited on how they can market and promote their business.
4. Most Businesses Fail: Most businesses fail. Not only do most distributors fail to make money, but most MLM Companies fail and go out of business within the first five years.
5. Established Companies are Better: Most distributors get excited about new pre-launch MLM Companies. They think getting in on the ground floor level is the best idea possible. However,
I believe that established companies are much better opportunities because they have worked out the kinks and have a proven reputation. Although some new companies succeed, most don’t. And you don’t want to build a large downline, only to have the business go bankrupt a couple years later.
In conclusion, there are lots of things about MLM Companies you should know. In this article, we covered five different things you should know about MLM Companies. Prior to joining any homework, you should do your research first and find out what you are getting yourself into.
