10 Steps to MLM Success: 10 Simple Ways to Succeed in Network Marketing

What are the 10 steps to MLM success? Well, there are lots of different things you can do to achieve success in network marketing. If I had to break the process down into 10 steps, I would describe it in the following steps.
1. Find a Company You are Passionate About: The first thing to do is find a company with products you are passionate about. I recommend you sample products from a few different companies, prior to joining any company. The products must be exceptional, and at a reasonable price, even for the retail customer.
2. Find a Mentor or Top Earner in that Company: Once you find a company to join, your next key step is to find a mentor. You should research the top distributors in the company and find one you are compatible with. The person must be willing to help you and he must offer great training and systems (lead generation, training and marketing systems).
3. Join their Downline: Once you find a mentor, your next step is to join their downline.
4. Set Goals: Once you’ve joined a company, you need to establish business goals. At a minimum, you should write down your five years goals, one year goals and monthly goals.
5. Develop an Action Plan: Once you’ve established written goals, your next step is to develop an action plan or strategy. For example, if your monthly goal is to sponsor four distributors, you need to show your business presentation to at least 10-20 people.
6. Build a Customer Base: Your next step is to build a customer base of retail customers. These are people who love the products but don’t want to build a business. Ideally, you want at least 20-100 personal customers, so you can make an immediate profit in your business.
7. Sponsor New Distributors: As you build a customer base, you need to sponsor new distributors. Many of your happy customers will eventually become wholesale distributors or business builders if you treat them right. You also need to always keep an eye open for sharp, business minded folks.
8. Train Your Downline: As you sponsor new distributors, you need to train your downline. You need to teach them how to recruit, how to generate leads, how to show the plan, how to get customers and more. If possible, you need a training system that does this automatically through emails, webinars, books and tapes.
9. Repeat Steps 4-8 Over and Over: Simply keep repeating steps 4-8 over and over. Monitor your progress, make minor improvements and keep going.
10. Never Quit: Just about every top earner I’ve studied has been with their same MLM Company for at least ten years. Most people give up to soon. In fact, most people quit within 3-6 months. If you want to make it big, you have to think long term, take consistent action and never quit.
In summary, these are my 10 steps to MLM Success. This business really boils down to following a system, becoming proficient at marketing, and keeping things simple. Your ultimate goal is to sponsor new distributors, find customers and teach your downline to do the same thing.
Also, it’s vitally important to have a mentor who knows what they are doing, and who is willing to help you. More importantly, they must have proven systems for you to use until you develop your own systems, or learn a better way on your own.
